Despite having 30 charting cds on the Billboard 200, 12 leading 10 appeal the Billboard Hot 100 and marketing greater than 100 million documents worldwide, Cher is not a follower of her very own voice.
In a meeting with Entertainment Tonight released Friday (Oct. 27), the “Believe” vocalist disclosed that she doesn’t sing around your home either. “Never. OK? Never,” she informed the electrical outlet when asked if she sings her hits in your home. “I don’t like my voice. I just don’t like it. It’s like, have you ever heard yourself talking?”
Cher’s newest admission begins the heels of her Paper publication meeting, which was launched Thursday.
“It doesn’t sound like a man, it doesn’t sound like a woman,” she stated of her trademark tone in the Paper attribute. “I’m somewhere more in-between. I have this strange style. I do what you do when you can’t hold a note: I don’t pronounce my R’s. I guess some consonants are hard to sing, so I just gotta leave them open.”
Though numerous think about Cher’s voice to be famous, she would certainly have chosen something a little various if she had the possibility. “I mean, people seem to like it and I’m happy as a clam, but I wouldn’t have picked it. I liked it on my mother and it’s definitely my mom’s voice. My mom’s is softer, mine is edgier — different, but the same, but I don’t think I would have picked it,” she informed Paper.
Up next for the vocalist is the launch of her highly anticipated Christmas album, which she disclosed she wasn’t one of the most fired up to do. Cher informed ET, “I just didn’t want to do a Christmas album. I wanted to do an album with a Christmas theme that would make people feel happy during the holidays, but I wanted to do a Cher album.”
