The sequel to the box-office phenomenon Cheburashka has officially grossed 3.098 billion rubles in Russian cinemas. This commercial milestone was confirmed by the latest data from the EAIS federal tracking system.
Cheburashka 2 is now only the sixth project in history to achieve such a feat. It joins an elite group of high-grossing hits that includes the original Cheburashka, both installments of the Serf franchise, The Wizard of the Emerald City, and The Bremen Town Musicians.
The film features returning stars Sergei Garmash, Elena Yakovleva, and Polina Maximova, while Olga Kuzmina once again provides the iconic voice for the title character.
