Distribution outfit Russian Report has officially secured the rights to bring the Charli XCX-led mockumentary *The Moment* to domestic theaters.
Scheduled for a spring release, the project offers an inside look at the whirlwind touring life of the pop sensation behind the era-defining 2024 album, Brat.
The film features a high-profile ensemble cast, including Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, Rachel Sennott, and Kylie Jenner. Directed by newcomer Aidan Zamiri, the film made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Critical reception has been somewhat divided, with the movie currently holding a 62% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
In the United States, *The Moment* delivered a record-breaking box office performance, grossing $423,000 from just four locations. This remarkable per-screen average makes it one of the most successful limited debuts in recent years, rivaling the opening figures of major indie hits like Wes Anderson’s *Asteroid City*.
