Chance the Rapper Endorses Amara Enyia for Chicago Mayor

Chance the Rapper tweeted a paraphrase of his line “they screaming Chano for mayor, I’m thinking maybe I should” earlier than revealing that he was holding a press conference at Chicago’s City Hall. The announcement? He’s endorsing Amara Enyia for Mayor of Chicago, in response to a number of Chicago Tribune reporters. (So no, Chance shouldn’t be working for mayor.) It’s price noting that Chance’s father Ken Bennett is supporting Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinckle.

Chance has been persistently working to present again to his hometown over the previous few years. He’s raised thousands and thousands of {dollars} for the town’s public schools and mental health services. In a new song, he revealed that he’s revived the beforehand defunct native information publication Chicagoist. He hosts common Open Mike events, normally that includes big visitor stars, for the town’s excessive schoolers. He’s been praised by Barack and Michelle Obama.
