Secure your harnesses, disable traction control, and prepare for billowing tire smoke and endless angle in Drift Attack, a permanent new gameplay mode introduced today in Forza Horizon 6’s latest major update: British Automotive.

Alongside Drift Attack, this British-themed series honors legendary engineering heritage through a complete British Automotive Takeover surrounding the Horizon Stadium, complemented by three brand-new reward vehicles obtainable via the Festival Playlist—including the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, and the 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.

Drift Attack also provides the exclusive chance to acquire a purpose-built sliding machine: the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. Meanwhile, the standard production variant of this classic has been added permanently to the Autoshow catalog.

  • Introduced independent audio language selection separate from subtitle tracks.
  • Fixed a visual anomaly where peer character models failed to render inside vehicles under lower graphical presets on PC.

New Permanent Feature: Drift Attack

Drift Attack merges the open-world accessibility of traditional Drift Zones with the competitive depth of Horizon Drift. Functioning essentially as a Time Attack mode specifically tailored for drifters, it launches instantly from the open world with zero loading screens and seamless entry.

To participate, simply navigate to the dedicated map marker at the Shimanoyama Circuit—now permanently reconfigured into a dedicated drift arena—and drive through the starting gantry just as you would in a Time Attack event.

Drift Attack Mode Shimanoyama Circuit

This is the ultimate crucible for vehicle control. Whether you’re sliding solo, cruising with a Convoy, or tandem-drifting alongside strangers in the Shared World, your primary goal is maximizing total accumulated drift score over a single lap. With unlimited lap attempts permitted, you can refine your lines until you dominate the global leaderboards.

Scoring mechanics mirror standard Drift Zones and Horizon Drift, but introduce high-value Clipping Zones strategically placed around the circuit. Maintaining angle and proximity inside these designated zones multiplies your point yields significantly.

Drift Attack fully supports in-world and Convoy leaderboard tracking, complete with drivetrain filters viewable directly within the menu interfaces.

Leaderboards and Drivetrain Filters

Integrated seamlessly into the Horizon Festival Campaign, Drift Attack unlocks upon reaching the Yellow Wristband tier. Completing related milestones in your Collection Journal grants the exclusive Drift Attack Racesuit and Helmet, alongside instant ownership of the bespoke 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. Meanwhile, the stock counterpart is now available for purchase by all players at the Autoshow.
