A beta for the new Call of Duty launches in October.
Next week marks the start of the open beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, where players will get hands-on access to six of the game’s 18 multiplayer maps. One highlight is the Toshin map, which Treyarch Studios says “will transport players to the heart of Tokyo.” Toshin is designed with clear sightlines, making it well suited for modes like Capture the Flag, Domination, and Search and Destroy. The map features recognizable spots such as a cat café, a karaoke bar, an old-town neighborhood, and the city’s main urban center.
Treyarch also shared additional details about the Den map, which is likewise set in Japan. Den won’t be part of the beta but will be available when the game launches. The map depicts a Japanese palace seized by the organization The Guild, with interiors styled in a sleek, high-tech fashion.
