Capcom is currently developing a substantial expansion for Resident Evil Requiem, according to industry insider Dusk Golem. He has confirmed that the project has already reached an advanced stage of production.
Based on the report, the DLC was originally intended to bridge the release gap between Resident Evil 9 and the upcoming remakes of Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero. However, the internal schedule has since been revised, and the expansion is now slated to arrive closer to the premiere of the next mainline entry.
The leaker also shared intriguing details regarding the character roster. A fully playable version of Alice reportedly exists, having been specifically designed for this expansion. While she was absent from the base game, she is expected to make her debut in the DLC. Additionally, Leon Kennedy is frequently mentioned as a central figure who may hold a pivotal role in the new narrative.
Director Koshi Nakanishi previously hinted that various elements omitted from the primary campaign—including specific sequences featuring Leon—could be repurposed for future content. Dusk Golem added that the Resident Evil Requiem amiibo scheduled for July 30, which include exclusive weapon skins, are likely part of the expansion’s broader marketing campaign.
