Bungie ‘absolutely’ desires cross play – the power for Xbox, PS4, and PC gamers to commune from completely different consoles – in Destiny 2… simply not proper now.
Speaking to Kotaku Reporter Jason Schreier on Twitter, Bungie’s Mark Noseworthy says, “Cross play is absolutely something we’re interested in doing some day, but we have a lot on our plate to chew through first.”
Stadia as a platform doesn’t make implementing Cross Play any tougher truly. We’re centered on Cross Save this 12 months (for all platforms). Cross Play is totally one thing we’re considering doing a little day, however we’ve lots on our plate to chew by first!

One of the issues they’re chewing on is cross save – the power for gamers to take their gear and development from one model of the game to a different console. Bungie introduced that cross save will come to Destiny 2 with the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion.
Cross save is an indication of religion that corporations like Sony, which has historically been shy about permitting cross play with other consoles, are warming as much as the concept of an all-cross play future. Games like Fortnite, Dauntless, and Rocket League already help the characteristic.
Hopefully, Destiny 2 will quickly be a part of their ranks.
