Yorgos Lanthimos’s satirical science-fiction feature “Bugonia” is set to appear on international streaming services on November 25, according to the portal When To Stream.
Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons lead the cast. The film is a remake of the 2003 South Korean picture “Save the Green Planet!”. The plot centers on two conspiracy-obsessed characters who abduct the CEO of a large corporation because they believe she is an alien intent on destroying the Earth.
“Bugonia” premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival and has been well received by critics (87% on Rotten Tomatoes). It has grossed $32 million worldwide.
