BTS has a sweet surprise in store for the ARMY as the K-pop supergroup celebrates their fandom’s birthday with a new song.
Their official Big Hit Twitter account shared a link to a Weverse message from the label on Monday (June 14), which announced the release of the “Butter” CD single. The CD version of their latest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit will be released on July 9 at 12 a.m. ET — the day of the ARMY’s eighth birthday — and it will be available for pre-order on Monday, June 14, at 10 p.m. ET.
“Butter” is currently spending its third week on the Hot 100 (chart dated June 19). But after smoothing fans over with their summer anthem, the septet proved they’re still on a roll with new music to come.
“In addition to the digital single ‘Butter’ that was saturated by an outpouring of love from fans everywhere, the CD will include a new track that will make your heart beat to the rhythm of BTS’ positive energy,” the Weverse notice read. “We look forward to the love and support from all fans.”
Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were recently put to the test about ARMY’s anniversary, their lyrics, performances and career milestones in an exam during Festa 2021, a celebration of their anniversary spanning several days in June.
BTS’ Weverse will post a separate note with additional details about the “Butter” CD single.
