Britney Spears has returned to Instagram after a brief pause from the platform.
A few days after deactivating her profile, the 43‑year‑old pop star reappeared on Friday, Nov. 7, posting a new photo for her roughly 42 million followers. In the image she models a white lace bra, gray-and-black underwear and black boots.
In the post’s caption, Spears reflected on how turbulent the year has been and recommended the book Draw the Circle, urging readers to set clear boundaries and center themselves — even offering a playful nod to ballerina imagery. (See the original caption on Instagram.) View the Instagram post.
She added that the practice she described can feel stringent, almost like a prayer, but that keeping things simple can open many possibilities. Her note hinted at complications to discuss later, punctuated with light-hearted emojis.
Spears’ comeback follows a short disappearance: her Instagram went dark on Nov. 2 with an automated notice that the “profile may have been removed.” The brief hiatus coincided with the release of her ex‑husband Kevin Federline’s memoir, You Thought You Knew, which contains a number of attention‑grabbing claims about their marriage.
The pop star did not publicly explain the account deactivation. She has taken similar breaks over the past few years — briefly in 2021 and multiple times in 2022 — and has intermittently stepped back from posting since then.
Her most recent withdrawal followed a run of mid‑October posts that appeared to respond to Federline’s allegations. In those messages she pushed back against certain claims and wrote about bringing “substance” to the conversation amid what she described as falsehoods being shared about her.
Earlier posts also accused Federline of “constant gaslighting” and criticized people who profit from her struggles, seemingly referencing their financial history and public discourse surrounding it.
Fans have expressed concern for Spears’ welfare after a string of cryptic posts and videos about her life and her two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, as reported by People. Read the People report.
In an October video she shared on TikTok, Spears showed visible bruising and bandaging on her hands and knee and explained she had fallen down a friend’s stairs; she described ongoing pain and uncertainty about the extent of the injury. See the TikTok clip.
