Britney Spears is showing some love to Selena Gomez.
Last week, the 28-year-old pop star shared an adorable throwback video of herself covering Spears’ classic 2000 song “Don’t Go Knockin’ on My Door.” In the clip, a young Gomez sports blue shades while belting out the Oops!… I Did It Again track in front of a swirling space-themed background.
“The hustle was real,” Gomez, who would’ve been 7 years old when the song was released, captioned the clip on Instagram.
Spears caught wind of the post and couldn’t resist leaving a sweet note in the comments section. “This is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen!!!!!” the 39-year-old superstar wrote.
This isn’t the first time Spears and Gomez have exchanged thoughtful words through social media.
In 2018, the “Gimme More” hitmaker shared a home workout video of herself exercising while Gomez’s “Bad Liar” is heard playing in the background. “Long workout today!!! @selenagomez definitely helped me get through it,” Spears captioned the tweet.
Last year, Spears also quoted lyrics to Gomez’s 2015 Revival cut “Kill Em With Kindness” when opening up on Instagram about the pressures of looking beautiful while growing up in the public eye.
“For the first time in my life I’m going without lots and lots of makeup !!!!!!” Spears captioned a video showing off her skin. “As Selena Gomez says ….. the world can be a nasty place … kill them with kindness … GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!”
