Brendan Fraser’s “Rental Family” Sets Digital Release Date

The Brendan Fraser-led drama “Rental Family” is slated for a digital debut on January 13, according to reports from When To Stream.

The narrative follows Phillip, an American actor living and working in Tokyo, who accepts an unconventional assignment: impersonating the deceased relatives and significant figures of grieving clients to provide them with closure.

Directed by Hikari—best known for her work on “37 Seconds” and the hit series “Beef”—the film enjoyed its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this past fall. Critics have met the project with high praise, as evidenced by its current 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
