BMAC Launches “Voices of Tomorrow” for America250, Inviting Artists to Shape the Nation’s Next Chapter

As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) is seizing the moment to amplify the next generation of creative storytellers. The newly launched BMAC x America250: Voices of Tomorrow initiative is a nationwide search for emerging talent ready to define the future. This program is more than just a contest; it is a dedicated platform for artists across all genres—from Hip-Hop and R&B to Country, Pop, and Gospel—to share their unique perspectives and influence the cultural landscape through their music.

“With our 250th anniversary on the horizon, we are challenged to confront our history with absolute transparency rather than seeking comfort,” explains Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, Co-Founder and CEO of the Black Music Action Coalition. “This milestone is an opportunity to ensure every voice is represented. We aren’t looking to dwell on the past, but to learn from it and transcend it. Music has always been our most potent catalyst for social evolution—it shapes consciousness and inspires courage. Voices of Tomorrow aims to empower artists to use their platforms to challenge systemic issues and help compose the next chapter of the American narrative. Aspiring creators based in the U.S. who are at least 18 years old are invited to apply until April 30, 2026. Applicants should submit an original track alongside a brief video detailing their creative inspiration. Selected participants will receive more than just recognition; they will be awarded a $10,000 BMAC Music Maker Grant, year-long professional mentorship, and exclusive access to high-profile industry collaborators, with potential opportunities for major distribution.
