Big Walk Sells One Million Copies in Less Than a Week
Big Walk, the ingenious cooperative puzzle title developed by House House, has officially surpassed one million copies sold. While reaching this sales benchmark is an impressive feat for any modern release, it marks a monumental triumph for an independent studio. Panic, the game’s publisher, announced the fantastic news via social media alongside a celebratory graphic.

“In just six days, over one million of you have purchased Big Walk, our cooperative journey centered entirely around conversation and exploration,” Panic shared in their statement. “We are profoundly grateful to everyone dedicating their time to our world. Your wonderful fan art, live streams, heartfelt stories, and shared memories mean the absolute world to us. Thank you for embarking on this journey.”
Designed for groups ranging from two to twelve players, Big Walk challenges friends to traverse a sprawling open-world landscape while solving intricate environmental riddles that test both platforming prowess and cooperative dialogue. Because the game purposefully excludes external voice communication tools like Discord—relying instead on built-in spatial proximity chat and expressive non-verbal emotes—figuring out how to articulate instructions to your peers becomes half the enjoyment. Regrettably for solo enthusiasts, the experience is strictly multiplayer.
During our time with the game, our critic noted, “Over the course of the nine hours it took our trio to reach the conclusion of Big Walk, it genuinely felt as though we had lived through an unforgettable expedition together. We shared countless laughs and stumbled upon brilliantly absurd puzzle solutions that, against all odds, actually worked. Big Walk delivers a resonant concluding message: above all else, this was our unique shared journey.” Read the comprehensive review here.
Big Walk is available right now for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. For more insight into the creative minds at House House, be sure to revisit our enthusiastic review of their breakout hit, Untitled Goose Game.
