Better on PlayStation: Rockstar is working closely with Sony on Grand Theft Auto VI
Buyers of the PlayStation 5 version receive one free month of GTA+.
Rockstar Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment expanded their partnership ahead of the Grand Theft Auto VI launch. Both companies described the PlayStation 5 as the preferred platform for the new action game.
Rockstar has yet to detail the PS5 Pro version, but they confirmed the game will use exclusive PlayStation 5 technologies to increase immersion.
The official PlayStation blog lists several technical improvements for the PS5 version:
- The DualSense controller utilizes haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. The controller speaker also provides additional sound effects during gameplay.
- Tempest 3D AudioTech enables precise sound positioning, which helps players navigate the environment and identify specific audio cues.
- The high-speed PS5 SSD ensures near-instant loading times.
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19 at a price of 80 US dollars.
