Beksinski-Inspired Horror Necrophosis Coming to Consoles Soon
While Necrophosis may not have reached blockbuster status on PC, it earned substantial acclaim from the player base. This year, the project is set to resurface in a big way.
Publisher PQube is currently orchestrating a major expansion alongside a console debut. Following its initial PC launch in April 2025, the game is now being optimized for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a full premiere slated for 2026.
Rebranded as Necrophosis: Full Consciousness, this nightmare odyssey—heavily inspired by the haunting surrealism of Zdzisław Beksiński—will arrive on consoles bundled with the Subconsciousness DLC. This expansion introduces uncharted environments, grotesque new entities, and “even more profound layers of psychological dread.”
PC enthusiasts will be able to acquire the DLC as a standalone purchase. Additionally, a physical edition has been announced for the PS5, which uniquely includes the game The Shore as part of the package.
According to data from the French retailer JustForGames, the PlayStation 5 version of Necrophosis is scheduled for release on May 28, 2026.
