Battlefield Portal Trailer Reveals Battlefield 6 Mode Secrets

EA and DICE have unveiled a new Battlefield 6 trailer centered on Battlefield Portal, revealing further details about what the mode can do.

For those familiar with Battlefield 2042, it’s worth noting that Battlefield Portal isn’t a separate title but a substantial evolution of the existing mode. The latest trailer demonstrates that players will be able to design their own maps and scenarios from the ground up, rather than being limited to preset templates as in Battlefield 2042.

Besides the trailer, several content creators were granted early access to the mode ahead of the official October 10, 2025 release and have been sharing their observations.

The chief distinction of Battlefield Portal is that players can earn experience regardless of which mode they play. In modes labeled “Verified Creator” XP is awarded in full, while in “Custom” modes experience is confined to the time spent inside a given scenario. This ensures players always gain progression for the time they put into the game.

Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10, 2025 for Xbox Series S|X, PS5, and PC.
