Battlefield 6 Developers Reveal Winter Offensive Update Details — Improved Hit Registration, Audio, New Mode and Winter Map
New content is coming to the game soon.
The developers of Battlefield 6 have outlined update 1.1.3.0, Winter Offensive. It brings new content plus a number of technical upgrades:
- A temporary map called Ice Lock Empire State — a winter-themed take on the existing Empire State map.
- A limited-time themed mode available in Domination, Conquest, and Gauntlet, featuring a “freezing” mechanic.
- The battle pass bonus track will include the “Ice Axe” weapon.
- Audio improvements: “key combat and vehicle sounds should now play more consistently even under high load.” Players had previously reported that some sounds could drop out.
- Fixes for hit-registration issues, for example when quickly switching to aim-down sights.
- Various visibility enhancements for soldiers: “we’ve refined the activation of proximity visibility effects so soldiers stand out better in dark or low-contrast areas.”
The Winter Offensive update for Battlefield 6 is slated to launch on December 9.
