The creators of GTA Online are pulling a festive prank on the community by reintroducing a wintry chill to Los Santos. For a limited time, snow has blanketed the map, allowing players to engage in snowball fights or utilize the specialized Snowball Launcher for those who already have it in their collection. Furthermore, the predatory Gooch is back on the prowl; successfully fending off his ambush will earn you the exclusive Gooch Outfit.
This unseasonable weather is part of an April Fools’ celebration and is scheduled to remain in effect until the current event week wraps up on April 2. However, if the icy conditions interfere with your criminal operations, the snow can be disabled via the game settings.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the developers have used snow for an April Fools’ gag; a similar event took place six years ago on April 1, 2020.
