Acclaimed actor Andrew Scott, widely recognized for his standout performances in Sherlock and Fleabag, has officially signed on for the upcoming feature Walk the Blue Fields. He joins Emily Blunt, who was previously cast in the lead role.
The film is based on the short story of the same name by Claire Keegan, the celebrated author of Small Things Like These. The narrative unfolds during a wedding ceremony, where a bride is forced to confront a difficult choice between her new husband and a former lover.
The project is a Netflix production, with John Crowley (Brooklyn, The Goldfinch) serving as director. The ensemble cast also features Ciarán Hinds and Tom Cullen (pictured right). Filming is slated to take place in Ireland.
Scott recently wrapped production on the third Knives Out installment. Fans can also see him in the military thriller Pressure, which is scheduled for a May release.
