Alan Ritchson’s Sports Comedy Turkey Bowl is Now Free to Watch on YouTube

Sports movies hold a strong track record as classics. Films like Rocky, Field of Dreams, Remember the Titans, and Moneyball remain active parts of the cultural conversation long after their theatrical runs.

Not every sports movie aims to be a big-budget classic. Sometimes viewers want something silly, easy to watch, and fun for a couple of hours. One of the goofiest sports movies fits that description and is now streaming for free.

The Turkey Bowl is a 2019 sports comedy starring Alan Ritchson, and viewers can watch it available to watch for free on YouTube. No subscription is required, though ad breaks occur during playback.

What is The Turkey Bowl about?

The Turkey Bowl follows a group of friends who return home for Thanksgiving to revive an annual flag football game tradition. The casual holiday get-together escalates quickly as old rivalries resurface and players commit to settling old scores on the field.

The competition ramps up, and the film focuses on adults treating a backyard Thanksgiving game like the Super Bowl. Alongside Alan Ritchson, the cast features Matt Jones from Breaking Bad, Ryan Hansen from Veronica Mars, Leah McKendrick from The Movie Critic, and Jacob Wysocki from Pitch Perfect.

Reviewers offered mixed responses upon its release. The film remains a lightweight comedy that prioritizes simple fun over prestige sports drama.

Viewers searching for seasonal entertainment or casual viewing can stream the on-field hijinks. Watching Alan Ritchson invest heavily in a Thanksgiving game offers a lighter alternative to watching him beat the crap out of people as Jack Reacher again.
