Age of Mythology Strategy Gets DLC with Japanese Gods, Samurai and Yokai — “Heavenly Spear” Trailer Released

The creators of the strategy game Age of Mythology have unveiled the Heavenly Spear expansion and shared what players can expect.

The team will recount the tale of Yasuko, a peaceful farmer’s daughter whose life is transformed when she discovers a magical spear.

Her journey spans 12 missions, each boasting cinematic storytelling, unforgettable characters, and increasing challenge. The heroine will encounter mythical beings and form divine alliances.

Players will be able to wield the power of 12 new gods and field new units — including Tengu, Shinobi, Samurai, and more — and test six new maps designed for multiplayer and skirmish battles.

The Heavenly Spear DLC for Age of Mythology is slated to release on September 30.
