Legendary German actor Udo Kier has died at the age of 81, Variety reports.
The cause of death has not been disclosed. Kier was born in 1944 in Cologne and amassed more than 200 screen and stage credits over his long career. He is best known for his frequent collaborations with Lars von Trier (The Idiots, Antichrist, among others).
His filmography also includes Dario Argento’s Suspiria, Blade, Gus Van Sant’s My Own Private Idaho, Ace Ventura (with Jim Carrey), Michael Bay’s Armageddon, and numerous other titles. One of his more recent appearances was in the Brazilian film “The Secret Agent.”
