Reporters contacted Activision to ask why the term “Arc Raiders” was being filtered in Black Ops 7’s chat. It turned out there was no sinister conspiracy or studio rivalry behind the issue.
Our text-moderation system flagged “Arc” as a variant of a disallowed term. When combined with “Raiders,” the full phrase “Arc Raiders” was flagged as suspicious. The filters have since been corrected.
It’s possible that a similar moderation system is also filtering “Arc Raiders” inside EA’s app.
