A24 has officially taken the reins of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, according to recent industry reports.
A television adaptation is currently in the works, with JT Mollner (The Stalker) set to direct and Glen Powell serving as producer. In addition to the series, the studio is also developing a brand-new feature film.
Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original is a foundational masterpiece of the slasher genre. While the series has seen many iterations over the decades, the most recent 2022 reboot on Netflix was met with a largely negative reception from critics.
