A New Ginny Weasley to Be Cast for the Harry Potter Series
Reports indicate that the role of Ginny Weasley will be recast for the upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation.
Gracie Cochrane, who portrayed the character in the first season, has departed the project due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to Variety. The identity of her successor for the second season has not yet been disclosed.
Production for the new episodes is scheduled to begin this autumn. The second season will adapt *The Chamber of Secrets*, a storyline in which Ginny plays a pivotal role. The Harry Potter series is set to premiere on HBO Max on December 25 of this year.
