9 months after its release, horror game Cronos: The New Dawn has finally recouped its budget

Bloober Team is starting to see a return on its investment.

The Polish studio reports that its horror title Cronos: The New Dawn broke even nine months after its release.

CEO Piotr Babieno stated that the team remained confident in the game throughout development because of positive feedback from critics and players. Reaching this milestone in under a year represents a notable success, especially given the current difficulties in launching new intellectual properties.

The studio views Cronos: The New Dawn as the foundation for a new franchise that could become a central part of its future portfolio.

Development continues this autumn with the release of the Lazarus story expansion. This content covers the background of The Warden during his time as the Pathfinder. Players will hunt for the mysterious Essence and uncover events leading up to the main story.
