The 35th Gotham Awards ceremony was held in New York. The evening’s major winner was Jafar Panahi’s Iranian drama “Simple Accident”, which took home three awards.
The film was honored for direction, original screenplay, and as the best international feature. Earlier this year it received the “Golden Palm Branch” at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Battle After Battle” was named Film of the Year. Honorary Gotham recognitions were also awarded to “Frankenstein”, “Sinners”, and others.
