Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock Nearly Fought at Country Music Festival After Online Feud

Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock Clash at Born & Raised Festival; Fence Confrontation Captured on Video

Pryor, Oklahoma — Sept. 13, 2025

Country artists Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock were involved in a heated exchange that nearly escalated into a physical altercation at the Born & Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, on Sept. 13, 2025.

Shortly before Adcock was due to take the stage, a clip posted to Adcock’s Instagram shows the two men arguing from opposite sides of a chain-link barrier. In the footage Bryan can be heard challenging Adcock and then forcefully pushing the fence.

“Hey, do you want to fight like a man? Come open the gate.”

Adcock accompanied his post with a mocking caption about receiving threats and added the taunt, “Eat a snickers bro.”

Additional video shared on Facebook appears to show Bryan climbing the barbed-wire-topped fence and lunging toward Adcock before festival security intervened. In that clip Adcock walks away under escort from a guard.

Reactions in the comments criticized Adcock for remaining onstage duty instead of engaging. One viewer accused him of hiding behind security; Adcock replied he had a show to perform and “wasn’t going to jail over that psycho.”

Billboard has contacted representatives for both artists seeking comment.

Background of the Feud

The confrontation appears to continue a public spat that began earlier this summer. In mid-July 2025, Adcock criticized Bryan after an incident involving a 14-year-old fan who did not receive an autograph. Following the second night of Bryan’s three-show run at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Bryan posted a now-deleted TikTok comment arguing that fans are not entitled to autographs after a full concert, adding an explicit acronym.

Adcock later answered on X, questioning Bryan’s reaction to the young fan and suggesting the fan’s feelings deserved more consideration. He expanded on his remarks during an interview on Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast, where he criticized Bryan’s behavior and said the singer sometimes drops a public persona and reveals less flattering traits.

Despite the back-and-forth, Adcock acknowledged he and Bryan are not acquaintances and said he has never met him in person.
