Yakuza Creators Reveal Snoop Dogg and Tupac as Characters in Stranger Than Heaven

Sega and RGG Studio have revealed the characters for Stranger Than Heaven, including roles performed by Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur, with the game scheduled for release on January 15, 2027.

The story of Stranger Than Heaven will span 50 years of history. The main protagonist is Makoto Daito (Yu Shiroita), a half-Japanese, half-American character who travels to Japan after facing persecution in the United States. There, he meets Yu Shinjo (Dean Fujioka), a half-Japanese, half-British character with a similar background.

One of the most unusual characters is Orpheus, played by Snoop Dogg, a traveling merchant with a somewhat illicit business. After discovering Daito on his ship, he helps him settle into Japan and notices his musical talent.

Music will play a significant role in the story. The game will feature pianist Takashi, artist Suzy Day (Tori Kelly), and Osaka diva Keiko Shirai (Ado). Criminal characters include yakuza member Tadashi Hataoka, boss Genzo Iwaki, and his right-hand man Tetsuya Hama.

The game will also feature The Veiled Stranger (Cordell Broadus) and Amaru, who looks like Tupac Shakur.
