Microsoft has released the big cartridges for the Opening Night of gamescom 2021, starting with a beautiful cinematic dedicated to the multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite. The title of 343 Industries, which was supposed to accompany the release of the Xbox Series X | S a year ago, will hit the market from December 8, 2021. But a month earlier, on November 15, 2021, Microsoft will release the first Xbox Series. X collector, which will wear the colors of Halo Infinite, to celebrate the 20 years of the saga. Its design is inspired by the Master Chief’s armor, with a dark, metallic exterior covering, but with an extra gold tip. We easily recognize the breastplate of our helmeted hero and we can also see a star-shaped pattern similar to that of Zeta Halo, it extends to the top of the console to reach the fan. Underneath those stars, the fan displays a blue reminiscent of Cortana, and when the console turns on or off, it plays sounds from Halo. The controller accompanying this console features a similar design on the front, a golden 20th anniversary mention on the back as well as grips on the sides and back. The rendering is superb. Pre-orders are already open and the machine is offered at € 549.99, in a limited edition, of course.
But that’s not all. In order for the anniversary to be grandiose, Microsoft has also planned to market a collector’s version of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, stamped with the colors of the game Halo Infinite. Here too, the design is inspired by the iconic Master Chief armor, with a metallic green on the hull, tandos that the directional cross will be golden, knowing that we can modify it at will. This controller will also be available on November 15, at a price of € 199.99 and if pre-orders are already open on the Microsoft Store, we will have to wait a little longer for Micromania and Amazon to offer it in turn.
