RZA is growing a brand new TV sequence in regards to the Wu-Tang Clan, Hulu introduced at the moment (October 11). The 10-episode present, known as “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” is predicated on the Wu’s origin story, in addition to RZA’s books The Wu-Tang Manual and Tao of Wu. An outline within the press launch reads: “Set in early ’90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, the show tracks the Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, who strives to unite a dozen young, black men that are torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories.”
“Wu-Tang: An American Saga” will likely be written by RZA with Alex Tse (SuperFly) and government produced by RZA and Method Man, alongside Tse, Brian Grazer, and Francie Calfo. In addition, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, GZA, and the Estate of Ol’ Dirty Bastard will function consulting producers. The sequence doesn’t at present have a launch date.
