The 73rd San Sebastián Film Festival in Spain has drawn to a close. The festival’s highest honor, the Golden Shell, was awarded to the drama “On Sundays” by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa.
The jury was chaired by Juan Antonio Bayona, the director of The Orphanage and Jurassic World. The Audience Award went to “The Voice of Hind Rajab” by Kautar Ben Hania, who had previously won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.
Among the honorary recipients was Jennifer Lawrence — she became the youngest ever recipient of the Donostia Award for career achievement. With Lawrence in attendance, the festival screened the psychological thriller “Die, My Love” (Russian release — November 27).
