Wicked: For Good Soundtrack Release Date and Tracklist Revealed — Includes Two Brand-New Songs

The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good now has an official release date and complete tracklist, announced on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The album is scheduled to arrive on November 21, 2025 — the same day the sequel opens in theaters — and will feature eleven tracks, including two brand-new songs written specifically for the film.

Alongside beloved numbers adapted from the original Broadway score — such as “Thank Goodness/I Couldn’t Be Happier,” “As Long as You’re Mine” and “For Good” — the film’s soundtrack expands the musical palette with fresh material created for the screen.

Stephen Schwartz, the composer behind the stage production who also contributed to the film’s music, praised the new recordings and arrangements, saying the album contains substantial new material and reimagined moments that will reward both newcomers and longtime fans.

Cynthia Erivo, who returns as Elphaba, performs the first of the new compositions, titled “No Place Like Home.” In a December interview, Erivo hinted that the song — which she helped write with Schwartz — carries a deeply emotional weight and that listeners should be prepared to feel moved.

Ariana Grande, who portrays Glinda in the film, sings the other original track, “The Girl in the Bubble.”

The Wicked: For Good soundtrack follows the success of the first film’s album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in November 2024 — the highest opening for a big-screen adaptation of a stage musical to date.
