Who Do You Hope Will Win Artist of the Year at the 2021 American Music Awards? Vote!

The nominations for the 2021 American Music Awards arrived on Thursday (Oct. 28) — as did a tight race for who will win the top prize of the night: artist of the year. Who are you hoping will come out on top?

Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album, Sour, has led to incredible success for the singer and has earned her a whopping seven nominations at her very first AMAs, including in the coveted artist of the year category.

International K-pop superstars BTS had an equally busy year promoting their most recent chart-topping singles “Butter,” “Permission to Dance” and “My Universe,” their new collab with Coldplay, and just like Rodrigo, they’ve earned their first nomination in the top category.

The Weeknd, who is getting ready to enter a new era with his “Dawn” project, follows Rodrigo with six nominations. The R&B crooner, who’s up for artist of the year for a fourth time, kicked off 2021 with a showstopping performance for the Super Bowl’s halftime show, which saw him singing hits from his After Hours album, which topped the Billboard 200.

Taylor Swift — who won the AMA f0r artist of the year in 2020 and racks up her eighth nomination in the category — has been re-recording her old albums, including April’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version), in addition to dropping her ninth studio album Evermore in December.

Rounding out the nominees are Ariana Grande with her fourth artist of the year nod and Drake with his fifth.

So who are you hoping will win artist of the year at the 2021 American Music Awards? Let us know below!

The American Music Awards are produced by MRC Live & Alternative, which is owned by MRC. MRC and Penske Media are co-parent companies of Billboard.
