Watch Dax Shepard Belt Out Adele’s ‘Hello’ With His Daughter on a Road Trip

Dax Shepard

Hello, it’s the Shepards. Dax Shepard hit the mountains in a Tuesday, July 20, Instagram video and confirmed that no good road trip is complete without a heartfelt Adele sing-along.

In the clip, the 46-year-old actor and his young daughter belt out lyrics to Adele’s 2015 hit “Hello” from the front seats of an RV, the narrow, winding road twisting and turning underneath their tires. “Heaven is a place on a twisty two lane mountain pass where screaming @adele with your daughter is required,” he wrote in his caption.

What makes the video truly special is how carelessly the two sing together, showing that Shepard’s children are unafraid to let loose and be themselves around their father.

“Hello from the outside,” they sing with reckless abandon. “I’ve called a thousand times to tell you I’m sorry for everything that I’ve done. When I call you never seem to be home.”

It’s no secret that Shepard and wife Kristen Bell love going on road trips with their daughters Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6. Bell told People in 2018 that the family actually take around eight or nine road trips a year. “We both grew up in lower-middle class families and did a lot of road tripping with our parents,” she said. “We did a lot of camping, too — that’s a very Michigan thing to do, to get in the car and head upstate to go camping. So it feels nostalgic to be in the car.”

Tuesday’s post is far from the first time Shepard has taken to Instagram to celebrate his mutual loves for family and road tripping. Three days prior to sharing the Adele jam session, he wished Bell a happy birthday: “Happy Birthday Cowgirl. Your beauty is only surpassed by your heart and buns.” And two days before that, he uploaded a #busporn photo of his huge RV.
