A photograph of Cardi on set throughout the video shoot sparked speculation that her headpiece within the video was a delicate Nicki Minaj diss as a result of Nicki wore the same piece within the “Ganja Burn video.” Cardi and Nicki have been periodically feuding this 12 months. In a current interview, Cardi referred to as their beef “bad for business.”
Cardi is up for five Grammy Awards in February, including Album and Song of the Year. In November, Cardi was announced to be the primary feminine performer on the 2019 AVN Awards. Earlier that month, Netflix revealed that she will likely be considered one of three judges (the opposite two being Chance the Rapper and T.I.) in a brand new competitors sequence referred to as “Rhythm + Flow.” She launched her studio debut, Invasion of Privacy, in April.
