Robert Eggers’ Viking revenge epic The Northman hits theaters next Friday (April 22), and today, Focus Features have released a new clip from the film centering on Björk’s character, the Seeress. Watch Björk relay a prophesy to Alexander Skarsgård’s character, Amleth, via NME.

The Northman is Eggers’ third feature, following 2015’s The Witch and 2019’s The Lighthouse. Eggers penned the screenplay for The Northman alongside Icelandic poet Sjón, who has co-written songs with Björk.

For the film score, Eggers enlisted Tri Angle Records founder Robin Carolan and Sebastian Gainsborough, known for his work as Vessel. The soundtrack arrives digitally on April 22 via Back Lot Music, while physical editions will be released via Sacred Bones on July 1.

The Northman is set in 10th century Iceland. It follows Amleth, a Viking prince, on his quest to avenge his murdered father. In addition to Björk, the film stars Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Ethan Hawke.
