Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to receive new classes, weapons, and console mods
The developers of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 outlined their support plans for the game’s third year, alongside details on patch 14, modding tools, and a release for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Year three introduces the Absolvor Bolt pistol for a new class and a one-handed Thunder Hammer. Players can also expect two additional bosses for Operations mode and an expansion for Chaos Space Marine gameplay featuring new character variants.
Season Pass 3 includes champion skins for the Space Wolves, Deathwatch, and Exorcists. One of these champions connects directly to the new character class.
Patch 14 brings the Facility and Sanctum maps to the game. It also adds the Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer as a new enemy for the Thousand Sons faction and introduces six heroic weapon variants, such as the Stalker Bolt Rifle, Power Sword, and Power Fist. New cosmetic sets for the Salamanders and Raptors arrive in the same update.
Steam users gain access to the update in early July. An ongoing event challenges players to complete 30 waves in Siege mode by July 1 to earn 100 rewards.
Console mod support is confirmed, starting with Steam Workshop integration. The Nintendo Switch 2 version launches during the 2026 holiday season.
The team schedules the next update for the end of August.
