WARDOGS Sells 3 Million Copies and Prepares for New Season
WARDOGS has sold 3 million copies in just a few weeks. The developers are already preparing to launch its second season on October 15.
Bulkhead Studios admits that it did not expect such a rapid result before the game launched in early access. At the same time, the studio notes:
The hype won’t last forever, but that doesn’t make the success any less sweet.
In WARDOGS, 100 players divided into three PMCs fight for territory. The game targets the realism of ARMA and the pacing of Battlefield. There are no classes here, as access to more powerful weapons and vehicles unlocks by performing actions within specific roles.
For example, spotting and destroying enemies increases the Scout level, while piloting an attack helicopter or delivering soldiers to the battlefield develops the Pilot role. Players also earn money for their actions, which carries over between matches and allows them to purchase higher-tier gear.
The game also features base building. The situation may change on October 15, 2026, with the release of the second season. Details are scarce, and a teaser hints at a major role for rainy weather.
