In an announcement, Vic Mensa mentioned, “Growing up we referred to ourselves as the Hyde Park Hooligans, so with the EP I wanted to encapsulate energies that represented that experience as well as what’s going on in my life now, for better or for worse.”

The Hooligans EP follows Vic’s 2017 debut studio LP The Autobiography. Read “Vic Mensa on What a Win in the Fight Against Police Violence Means for Chicago and America” on Levels.
