Valve’s Index VR headset continues to be bought out one month forward of Half-Life: Alyx launch

We’re not even a month away from the discharge of Half-Life: Alyx and Valve’s Index VR headset continues to be utterly bought out.

As we reported last month, the Index VR headset was bought out in-stores and on-line in mid-January. Now in keeping with Road to VR, the VR system continues to be virtually totally bought out. The solely out there model is a headset with out controllers or base which is being bought from Japan.

While this scarcity initially kicked off late last year, most assumed Index can be again in inventory early in 2020. However, it appears issues have gotten worse.

Last week the corporate tweeted that it might be “have extra data on upcoming Valve Index availability quickly.”

But thus far those that eager on getting their fingers on the Valve Index have needed to depend on a system of signing up to be notified by email when units return in inventory. According to Road to VR, it doesn’t seem that anybody who has signed as much as be notified has obtained a back-in-stock e-mail thus far.

While Index isn’t the one VR headset you need to use to play Half-Life: Alyx – Valve designed the game to work with a variety of headsets – the elevated demand is almost definitely pushed squarely by Half-Life: Alyx. Half-Life: Alyx is slated to launch on March 23.

Set between the occasions of Half-Life and Half-Life 2, within the game Alyx Vance and her father Eli “mount an early resistance to the Combine’s brutal occupation of Earth.” As Alyx, you’ll interact in fight, resolve puzzles, and discover a world turned derelict because of an alien invasion.
