Modders recently brought Team Fortress 2 Classic back into the spotlight. Valve had previously approved its release on Steam.
Before a full launch, the team plans to run tests — they intend to do this during the Steam Next Fest demo event (October 13–27).

TF2 Classic is a mod for Valve’s team-based shooter that revisits and reimagines the game’s early days shortly after its original release. The modders restore weapons removed during development and add cut features and additional content.
