Unknown Mortal Orchestra have introduced their second new album of 2018: IC-01 Hanoi is out October 26 through Jagjaguwar. The band (Ruban Nielson, Kody Nielson, and Jacob Portrait) recorded the seven-track instrumental LP at Hanoi, Vietnam’s Phù Sa Studio with the native musician Minh Nguyen, who performed sáo trúc (a small flute), đàn môi (a standard Vietnamese instrument), and Vietnamese percussion. In addition, Nielson’s father Chris performed flugelhorn, saxophone, and keyboards on IC-01 Hanoi. Below, take heed to “Hanoi 6,” the primary providing from the brand new document.
IC-01 Hanoi was born from the periods for Sex & Food, UMO’s fourth album, which was launched this previous April.
