Ubisoft Outlines Roadmap to Fix Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake After Player Criticism
Player feedback has ultimately been heard.
Level designer Michael Wolf, who was responsible for creating maps in the original game, recently played Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake. Overall, he liked the remake, although he did note certain shortcomings.
His restrained opinion regarding the Heroes 3 remake contrasts sharply with how regular players received the project. After the debut trailer was published, they actively criticized Ubisoft on forums and left negative comments under promotional materials.
Ubisoft has heard everyone’s feedback. The developers recently presented a roadmap indicating that Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake will be reworked. The authors of the remake divided the work into four blocks called cycles.
The first cycle, Playstyles, is dedicated to the graphical component of the remake. The developers plan to give players the ability to customize key project elements, such as object scale, colors, and lighting, as well as UI/UX design.
- The second cycle, Game Modes & Quality of Life, covers convenience features and player settings.
- The third cycle, User-Generated Content, includes a map editor, support for user modifications, and much more.
- The fourth cycle, Multiplayer & Long-Term Operations, features the Hotseat local multiplayer mode, PvP, and long-term game development.
The developers did not mention music in the publication.
