U.S. Girls’ Meg Remy has released a new song called “Good Kinda High” that samples the late pianist Glenn Gould’s performances of two movements from Johann Sebastian Bach’s English Suites. The new song is on the deluxe edition of Uninvited Guests, a collaborative project featuring contemporary artists’ new reinterpretations of Gould’s work. Listen to “Good Kinda High” below.

Since issuing Heavy Light, her seventh album at the helm of U.S. Girls, last March, Remy has remixed a Seth Bogart track and published an essay collection titled Begin by Telling. She also shared a wry Christmas song called “Santa Stay Home” and covered the Birthday Party for 4AD’s 40th anniversary compilation. Heavy Light was nominated for Canada’s 2020 Polaris Music Prize, making the short list alongside Lido Pimienta, Caribou, Kaytranada, and winner Backxwash.
