Rockstar Games recently opened pre-orders for the title. The base edition costs 80 dollars, while the Ultimate edition retails for 100 dollars. While these figures appear high compared to earlier entries in the series, accounting for inflation shifts that perspective.

A user named GiveMeWaterPls calculated the inflation-adjusted costs. These figures suggest that Grand Theft Auto VI is actually the most affordable 3D-era game in the series.

For context, Grand Theft Auto III launched at 50 dollars, which equals approximately 94 dollars today. Here is how other titles compare:
