ARK Turkey Trial 5: 2021 Dates, Rates, Rewards and DodoRex

ARK: Survival Evolved’s Turkey Trial 5 ran from November 23 to December 7, 2021. Studio Wildcard announced the Thanksgiving event in Community Crunch 293, bringing Super Turkeys back to the ARKs with boosted server rates, seasonal cosmetics and a temporary DodoRex summon.

Turkey Trial 5 rates

Official servers used 3x XP, harvesting, taming and breeding, a 0.6x mating interval and a 1.5x Hexagon bonus. Small Tribes and Conquest received 4.5x XP, harvesting and taming plus 4x breeding. ARKPocalypse used 5x for XP, harvesting, taming and breeding.

Unofficial server owners could activate the event with the -ActiveEvent=TurkeyTrial launch parameter. Wildcard noted that these bonuses multiplied the game’s standard 1x rates.

Super Turkeys, Wishbones and DodoRex

Players hunted untamable Super Turkeys and collected Wishbones from them. Wishbones were used for the new Turkey Costume, three new Ugly Sweater skins and returning Thanksgiving cosmetics, or to summon a DodoRex as a powerful temporary tame.

The event also added five chibi pets: Deinonychus, Kaprosuchus, Onyc, Tek Raptor and Gigantopithecus Chieftain. Thanksgiving Dino Candy and a palette of autumn, red, violet, blue and near-black wild creature colors completed the reward set.

What else was in Community Crunch 293

The issue included creator videos from SINZAH and Sypher Sam, fan art featuring the King Titan and DodoRex, and a new screenshot gallery. Wildcard also confirmed that an EVO event would run as part of Turkey Trial 5.
