Travis Scott Says He’ll Cover Funeral Costs of Astroworld 2021 Victims

The rapper is also partnering with BetterHelp to offer a month of free therapy to those affected by the festival

Travis Scott has said he will cover the funeral costs for the families of the eight people who died at the 2021 Astroworld Festival, TMZ reports. Scott is also partnering with BetterHelp to offer one month of free therapy to people affected by the events of the festival, which officials declared a “mass casualty incident.”

Hundreds of people were injured at Astroworld Festival in Houston on Friday (November 5), and several were taken to hospitals. There were also reports of festival attendees suffering cardiac arrest. The eight people who died at the festival were between the ages of 14 and 27, according to The New York Times.

Travis Scott is already facing at least 14 lawsuits related to Astroworld, according to Billboard. The rapper has also promised to issue refunds to all Astroworld attendees.
